Living Out The Year of Mercy

What can you do to enhance your participation in the Year of Mercy? The STB Pastoral Council and Parish Staff presents the following resources and opportunities to help you live out your faith life during the Holy Year of Mercy.

  • Sign up for monthly emails beginning December 8 with brief reflections from fellow parishioners on the themes of mercy as defined in our parish raffle calendar.

  • Celebrate the Sacrament of Penance frequently.
  • Perform spiritual and corporal works of mercy as identified each month in the parish raffle calendar.
    • For example:
      • January – Visit and pray for the sick, homebound and elderly.
      • April – Evangelize the unaware.
      • August – Comfort the troubled and distressed.
  • Download the FREE Year of Mercy App.
  • Pray the Rosary and/or the Chaplet of Divine Mercy.
  • Participate in a faith formation opportunity.
    • For example:
      • Credo 101 (February 16 @ 6:30 PM.)
      • Bible Study: Unlocking the Mystery of the Bible, Lectio Divina Prayer Group, Fast and abstain from meat and sweets every Friday.

  • Attend weekday Mass.
  • Donate non-perishable items to the less fortunate.
  • Pray for those who long for God’s mercy and grace.
  • Pray the Beatitudes.
