The Children's Choir provides musical leadership at one weekend Mass every month, as well as at special liturgical celebrations, such as Christmas Eve and Easter Masses. Choristers are introduced to both contemporary and traditional sacred music from the great composers. Special emphasis is placed on improving unison singing and cantoring skills, and beginning singing in parts. Score reading and rhythmic reading are also introduced. The Children's Choir is open to all youths of the parish in Grades 2 through 8. All members should be able to match pitch and read at a second-grade level, at a minimum.
