The Cantor is both a singer and leader of congregational song. One of the cantor's main roles is in proclaiming the Responsorial Psalm at the weekend Masses and special liturgies, such as Holy Days, Confirmation, and First Communion. Cantors may lead the congregation by themselves or sing in small groups. They should be confident in their singing before a large congregation and have a pleasant singing voice. Rehearsals are held on the third Sunday of the month from 7-8 PM in the church.
